Interstate 271 is a major spur highway in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and Akron, Ohio. The highway is officially designated the Cleveland Outerbelt, but rarely referred to by that name.
The highway runs from a junction with I-71 in Weymouth, Ohio to I-90 near Wickliffe, Ohio, intersecting I-480 (and running jointly with it for a short stretch). The width varies from point to point, but is mostly four to six lanes wide south of I-480 and eight to ten lanes wide, divided into express and local sections, north of I-480.
