First time TDs

March 4, 1970: In Dublin South West the Labour Party loses its seat to Fianna Fáil.
April 14, 1970: In Kildare Fine Gael retains its seat in the constituency. On the same day the death of Patrick Lenihan in Longford-Westmeath causes Fianna Fáil to lose a seat to Fine Gael.
December 2, 1970: In Donegal-Leitrim Fine Gael loses a seat to Fianna Fáil. However, on the same day in Dublin County South Fianna Fáil loses its seat to Fine Gael.
August 2, 1972: Fianna Fáil retains its seat in Mid Cork.
