Jack Clark (1926 - 1988) was a well known American gameshow emcee and announcer. He is remembered for his hosting duties on "The Cross-Wits" which ran from late 1975 to early September 1980. He started his career in the industry working as an announcer on such shows as Password and Split Second. After Split Second ended in mid-1975 he began emceeing "The Cross-Wits" which was to last almost five years. It was shortly after The Crosswits ended that he began his long run (eight seasons) announcing "Wheel of Fortune" for which he was probably most famous. He died on July 21, 1988 of cancer.
