Jagdpanzer (JgPz) typically refers to designs based around existing tank models with turrets removed and a heavily-armoured superstructure with a heavy gun put in its place.
More lightly armoured tank destroyers were referred to as Panzerjäger
This differentiation is only a matter of convenience, however - all German tank destroyers were known as Panzerjäger
