Janelle Patton was a Sydney woman who was brutally murdered on Norfolk Island in 2002. The case made national headlines in Australia, as she was the first person to be murdered there since penal times.
Patton was living and working on the island at the time of her death, but was not a local.
Despite a very public campaign to bring her killer to justice, the police have not made any arrests to date and a recent coronial inquest was unable to shed any light on the matter.
