Jarun is a neighbourhood in western part of Zagreb in Croatia.It is mostly known by its same-named lake on its southern edge.Here is situated sport and lesure center "Jarun" where people can row, paddle, sail, surf, swimm, jogg, bike, rollerskating, skate-boarding...Around the lake there are many night clubs and cafes.
The borders of Jarun are Horvaćanska on the north with Stagliće, Hrvatski sokol street with Vrbani on the west, Vrapčak with Gredice on the east and river Sava on the south.The develepment of Jarun began at the end of 1970s when it was merely a village with building of appartment blocks and especially in 1987 with building of Sport and leisure center.It is a middle class neighbourhood with very low crime rate.Jarun in wider sense also includes neighbourhoods of Stagliće and Gredice.
