The son of Dennis Edwards Alexander, an auto mechanic, and Anita Doreen Duncan, Alexander is a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana, USA, also Spears' hometown. Alexander and Spears, childhood friends, were married in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 3, 2004, but the marriage was annulled two days later on Monday, January 5. The marriage lasted a total of only 55 hours.
