Jason Everman - Definition and Overview

Jason Everman (b. 1964) was a guitarist for Nirvana in 1989, and then later became a guitarist for Soundgarden.

Jason joined Nirvana in 1989, and is credited as being the 2nd guitarist on the Nirvana album Bleach, but did not actually play on any of the songs. The credit was admitted by Kurt Cobain to be as a token of thanks for paying for the recording of the album. He did however play 2 shows but should not be considered a member of the band.

He left Nirvana, and joined Soundgarden as a bassist in 1990. He quickly left the band in the same year, and has played guitar for a few other bands.

He is now reportedly in the U.S. military.
