Jay Roach - Definition and Overview

Jay Roach (born 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is a film director and producer whose credits include the Austin Powers movies, and the hit comedy Meet the Parents starring Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller. In 2004, Roach will direct the sequel Meet the Fockers.

In 1994 he co-wrote with John Rice and Joe Batteer the film Blown Away starring Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones.

He is currently producing a movie based on Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy novels.

He is married to Susanna Hoffs, of Bangles fame.
