Jerry Litton (May 12, 1937 - August 3, 1976) was a Democratic U.S. Representative from Missouri
Litton was born in Daviess County, Missouri. A rancher, he was national secretary of the Future Farmers of America 1956-1957. B.S. in Journalism, University of Missouri-Columbia, 1961. He was elected to the U.S. House as a Democrat in 1972. He was considered a rising star in the Democratic Party until his tragic death in a private plane crash on August 3, 1976, the same day he won his party's nomination for the U.S. Senate.
