Jessica Alba (born April 28, 1981, in Pomona, California, USA) is a US-born actress.
Of Mexican and French descent and raised in a nomadic military family, Jessica grew up a sports fanatic and terrorized her teachers and grandparents alike with her rebellious behavior. Her father's navy career took the Albas to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before they settled back in California.
Jessica Alba has been acting on screen for more than half her life, dating back to an almost cameo role as Gail in the 1994 Family Adventure Comedy feature Camp Nowhere and extending to more recent gigs in her highly popular, but nevertheless cancelled, Fox TV Sci-fi series Dark Angel (2000-2002).
