Jinhae is a city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The city is on the south coast, is served by the Korean National Railroad, and is famous for its annual cherry blossom festival.

Jinhae Port was an important naval base of the Japanese Navy during the colonial period. Even today, The U.S. Seventh Fleet as well as the South Korean Navy maintain naval base in the port. The Korean naval academy is established in the city.
