John Alexander Waddell (1854-1938) was an American civil engineer known for his design of bridges.
His designs include:
- Waddell "A" Truss Bridge (opened 1898)
- Armour, Swift, Burlington Bridge (opened 1911)
- Snowden Lift Bridge (opened 1913)
- Cado Lake Drawbridge (opened 1914)
- Outerbridge Crossing (opened June 29, 1928)
- Goethals Bridge (opened June 29, 1928)
