John Spencer (né John Speshock) (b. December 20, 1946) is an American actor born in New York, New York who is best known for his role as Leo McGarry in the television drama The West Wing.
Spencer also acted in the 1996 movie The Rock and the 2002 theater production of The Exonerated. In the early 1990s, he was a regular cast member on L.A. Law, playing Tommy Mullaney.
