Johnny Bravo - Definition and Overview

Johnny Bravo is an animated series about the boorish, skirt-chasing title character who constantly searches for a woman willing to date him, but even when he seems to find one, something goes wrong. Johnny Bravo looks and sounds like Elvis Presley, except for having blonde hair. He is incredibly narcissistic, and infatuated with his own appearance. He lives in the fictional town of Aron City. The cartoon is shown on Cartoon Network and was created by Van Partible

Some notable characters are:

• Johnny Bravo - the title character, described above.
• Bunny Bravo - Johnny's mother - a rather untypical type of person - she seems to have a "flower power" past and sometimes surprisingly reveals her hidden talents. She's very dedicated to her son, although she'a aware of his low intellect and "womanizer attitute", so she sometimes doesn't treat him and his problems seriously.
• Little Suzy - a little girl (probably 10-year-old) from the neighborhood, very cunning and talkative. She seemed to have a crush on Johnny in earlier seasons.
• Carl - local genius, very interested in science, but somehow weird and timid. He pretends to be "Johnny's best friends", although Johnny often denies that. He sometimes uses Johnny as a guinea pig for his experiments' sake.
• Pops - a greedy owner of local chilli restaurant, could be considered as Johnny's "substitute father". Alas, his tips of advice often turn to be useless and may provoke troubles for Johnny and the gang. Johnny's real father does not appear in the show. Actually, he was never even mentioned. But the upcomming live action Johnny Bravo movie, starring The Rock as Johnny Bravo, will have Johnny searching for his real father, so we may have some exposition on him.
