Programmer who created the first version of the Lotus_1-2-3 spreadsheet in 1982 and who cofounded Lotus Development Corporation with Mitch Kapor in the same year. Left the company in 1985 and now develops photo-editing software for his own Cambridge, Massachusetts based company, Digital Light and Color, which has been distributing its electronic darkroom software, PictureWindow, since 1994.
