Judas (יהודה "Praise", Standard Hebrew Yəhuda, Tiberian Hebrew Yəhûḏāh) is the name of several men in late Jewish and New Testament history:

Judas Priest, the music group, took its named from a minced oath.

Judas is also a common derogatory nickname for those, who after reaching some kind of prominence in an institution, change to rival/opposite sides for financial reasons (this happens specially in sports).
