Julia Sawalha (born September 9, 1968) is a British actor, one-third of an acting family which also includes her father Nadim Sawalha and her sister Nadia Sawalha.
She is probably best known for her role as Saffron in the television show Absolutely Fabulous, in which she played the prim foil for the many outrageous other characters. She first rose to public attention in the UK for her starring role in the ITV teenage comedy/drama Press Gang, which ran from 1989 to 1993.
On January 1 2004 it was reported that she had married Alan Davies, her co-star in the television series Jonathan Creek. Both Davies and Sawalha deny this.
