Julie Ruin is the independent record produced by Kathleen Hanna in 1997 during a break from Bikini Kill. It is a rather simplistic but yet startling record that touches upon feminism, crocheting, aerobics and resisting police abuse. From Julie Ruin, Kathleen Hanna went on to form Le Tigre.
