Junior - Definition and Overview

Junior is:

• A student in the third year and above of high school or college, see high school junior
• A child
• A low-level position
• The younger of two people in the same family with the exact same name (e.g., Ken Griffey, Jr.). They are sometimes (incorrectly) also called II, especially if there's a third or fourth with the same name. See also Suffix (name)
• An informal term used to contrast the inexperience of an individual compared to an experienced one
