Junkers G-38 - Definition and Overview |

The Junkers G.38 was a large German 4 engined transport airplane of the 1930s. Only two prototypes were ever made. One crashed in 1936 and the other, having been pressed into military service was destroyed in 1941. It had four 750 hp (560 kW) Jumo 204 engines and was unique in that some of the passengers were seated in the wings. It carried a total of thirty four passengers, six in two compartments in the leading edge of the wing and the rest in the main fuselage.
