KCET - Definition and Overview

KCET is the preeminent public television station in Southern California. Broadcasting on Channel 28, the studio is located at 4401 Sunset Boulevard. Hallmark programs are Life & Times and Huell Howser's California's Gold. They also produce the weekday program The Tavis Smiley Show and recently, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, have produced a six-part miniseries in conjunction with the BBC called Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State.
