Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast(Кара-Киргизская АО) was created on October 14, 1924 within RSFSR from a part of Turkistan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On May 15, 1925 it was renamed into Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast. On February 1, 1926 it was reorganized into Kyrgyz ASSR. On December 5, 1936 it was made into Kyrgyz SSR.
