Karen Lancaume (born Karen Bach) (January 19, 1973 - January 28, 2005) was a French adult film star. Despite her short resume (she appeared in only 29 films from her beginnings as an adult film star in 1997 until her death), she was quite a popular actress. She was married, but debts forced her into the adult film life. She and her husband started doing scenes as a couple; but once they divorced Karen remained in the industry.
In a quote which revealed inner longing, she wrote about the difficulties of the adult industry: "Double penetration ... then ejaculation. Covered with sperm, wet, feling so cold, nobody gave me a towel. Once you make your scene, you're worth nothing ... Why women always get hands on their ass and not men? The only thing we ask them, is understanding, equality. Porn, it's men ejaculation on girls face, woman taking full on her her."
While staying at a friend's house, she commited suicide on the night of January 28, 2005 by swallowing medication.
