Katarina Frostenson (born 1953), Swedish writer. Elected member of the Swedish Academy in 1992.
Frostenson is one of Sweden's most renowned poets, possessing a style both experimental and archaic. She is the author of I mellan (1978), I det gula (1985) and Joner (1991), and has also written a book of lyrical prose named Berättelser från dom (1992), about an ancient people which through the loss of language looses their sense of belonging in this world.
Katarina Frostenson is the niece of Anders Frostenson.
