Lady Edith Agnes Kathleen Scott, Baroness Kennett, FRSBS, (1870 - July 25, 1947) was a British sculptor.

Works

Three of her busts feature in the National Portrait Gallery's collection, and she is also the subject of 13 photograpic portraits there.

She sculpted at least two statues of her first husband, Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott, after his death. One of these is located in Christchurch, New Zealand and the other in Waterloo Place, London.

She also sculpted a statue of Edward Smith, captain of the Titanic, after his death. This is situated in Lichfield, England.

Family

Born Edith Agnes Kathleen Bruce, she was the youngest of 11 children of Lloyd Stewart Bruce and Jane Bruce.

She married Robert Falcon Scott on September 2, 1908, and gave birth to her first son Peter Markham Scott in 1909. After her first husband's death in 1912, she married Edward Hilton Young in 1922. Her second son, Wayland Hilton Young, was born on August 2, 1923.((She is the great-grandmother of author J. K. Rowling.) This is not accurate ignore!!!!)

Titles

When her first husband was posthumously knighted, she became a widow of a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath. When her second husband was created 1st Baron Kennett on July 15 1935, she gained the title Baroness Kennett.
