Kazu Kibuishi - Definition

Kazu Kibuishi is a graphic novel author. He is also an illustrator, and a professional animator. He was born in 1978. While doing film studies in college he drew cartoon strips for the student newspaper.

He is also editor and creator of the Flight comics anthology and host of his own website, BoltCity.com (see External link below), which features several of his web comics. His Copper series of one page strips, drawn monthly, offers extensive explorations of the aesthetics of comics. The site also has the zany adventures of Clive and Cabbage and background material on his print series of the slightly steampunk far west adventures of Daisy Kutter.

The Web comic artist and noted critic Scott McCloud has said of some of Kazu Kibuishi 's work that it is so beautifully drawn that "it hurts my hands when I look at it".
