KeenSpace is a hosting provider for web comics. It provides automatic updating tools, a free .keenspace.com domain, free third-party domain parking, and community in the form of an active forum. Unlike KeenSpot, it lets anyone sign up for hosting for free. Because KeenSpace allows most anyone to join, it is ad supported. Unfortunately, because it allows anyone to join, many beginning artists start out on KeenSpace, and thus makes it difficult to judge quality.
While KeenSpace is owned as a seperate service of KeenSpot, it is operated by volunteers, some of them with web comics on their servers. Artists who host his/her/their web comics on KeenSpace are no more likely to be asked to join KeenSpot than any other online artist. Many KeenSpot web comics started out on KeenSpace.
