This article is about the former borough of London. For other uses, see Kensington (disambiguation).

Kensington is a former borough of London, now part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The name is still used to designate an area of northwest inner London. Notable places in Kensington (or South Kensington) include: Kensington Gardens and Holland Park, the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Imperial College, London. Within its bounderies are some of the most prestigious parts of London, such as Knightsbridge to the east, Chelsea to the south and Kensington/Notting Hill/Holland Park to the north. At its western edge lies Earls Court, a less prestigious area.
