Kerry Kennedy Cuomo - Definition and Overview

Mary Kerry Kennedy Cuomo (known as Kerry) was born Sept. 8, 1959, in Washington, D.C. She is seventh child of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy. She married Andrew Cuomo, son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, on June 9, 1990, in Washington, D.C. They separated in 2004 after a public falling out that included published rumors of Kennedy's infidelity.

They have three children: Cara Ethel Kennedy Cuomo and Mariah Matilda Kennedy Cuomo, born Jan. 11, 1995, in Washington, D.C., and Michaela Andrea Cuomo, born Aug. 26, 1997, in Washington, D.C.

Kennedy is on the board of directors for The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial and founded The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights (CHR). She led a delegation from the CHR to Liberia in July of 2004.

In 2003, after Kennedy and Cuomo's separation became public, it was revealed that Kennedy had been having affair with a married man, family friend Bruce Colley.
