Kevin McFadden (born 1954) is an American writer who uses the name of Christopher Pike for his books.
He has written a series of top selling books, including Scavenger Hunt, Whisper of Death, Chain Letter, Chain Letter 2: The Ancient Evil and Monster. He is also the author of a series of six vampire novels, beginning with The Last Vampire.
In Monster there was something in the water that turned teenagers into flesh-eating monsters. The teenagers would have flesh-eating parties, eating the non-monster members of the community. Although this may sound comical, many consider the story quite touching.
Remember Me involves a disembodied spirit solving her own murder.
See You Later, The Tachyon Web, and The Eternal Enemy were just a few of his teen books with science fiction elements.
His books are directed towards teenaged readers, and have sold well in North America, Europe and Latin America.
There are also a few novels aimed more towards adults.
Season of Passage details an American space mission to Mars in the wake of an unsuccessful Russian mission. The plot deals with mythology, spirituality, science fiction, and horror.
Sati is set in modern day America, with the title character being a hitchhiker who seems to be a Goddess.
