Kidričevo is a town and a municipality in Slovenia, near Ptuj. It was formerly named Strnišče and renamed to its current name after the World War II for Boris Kidrič, the first president of the Slovene government, while Slovenia was part of Yugoslavia. The town is industrialized, most prominent is the factory of aluminium.
