In the Warhammer Fantasy setting, Kislev is the name of a Slavic-themed fictional country that sits north of The Empire, between it and the Realm of Chaos. Because of both the harsh weather, and the fact that any Chaos incursions must pass through(and subsequently attack) the country, the Kislevites are a hardy people, never willing to back down from a fight. Kislev is mostly based on pre-Mongol Kiev.
