Kitchener-Waterloo is a metropolitan area consisting of the twin cities of Kitchener, Ontario and Waterloo, Ontario. Cambridge, Ontario is also nearby. The region is located approximately 100 kilometres west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is well known for the annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. Kitchener was formerly named 'Berlin', but it was changed after WWII. Waterloo is now home of Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and is also the location of the headquarters of Research in Motion, makers of the BlackBerry device.
