Kneph was an Egyptian god who was originally the supreme god for people at Elephantine. According to Plutarch and Diodorus, Kneph was identical to the Greek pneuma, the names also having semantic identity. Kneph in this situation was that of a spirit which breathed life into things giving them form.
Kneph eventually became considered the creator god, eventually becoming assimilated into Ammon, and thus into Ra, and eventually Horus
Depictions of Knepth typically consist of a man walking, but with a ram's head.
