Knox (Angel) - Definition and Overview

Knox was Fred's Lab Partner in Series 5 of Angel. Knox quickly fell in love with Fred. Knox was the person who tried to get Illyria's sarcophagus to Wolfram and Hart, but it got stuck in customs. After Gunn got his permanent law upgrade, he signed some papers to get the sarcophagus out of customs without knowing it. After the Fred opened the sarcophagus, she was infected by Illyria - an ancient parasite demon that existed before time. Fred got very sick after this. Angel and Spike learn that Illyria is an ancient demon who existed before recorded time, and they must race to return her to an ancient demon burial ground before she kills Fred and thousands of other innocent victims. Fred eventually dies in Wesleys arms when Illyria fully takes over her body. Illyria takes Knox to destroy a lock to open a portal so Illyria can get her army to destroy mankind. Knox is Illyria's Qua-Hazan, which is the equivalent of head acolyte. Knox destroys the lock for Illyria, but before Illyria could open the portal, Wesley shoots and kills Knox.
