Koekelberg is one of the nineteen municipalities located in the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium. On January 1st, 2004 the municipality had a total population of 17,317 (8,322 males and 8,995 females). The total area is 1.17 km² which gives a population density of 14,769.30 inhabitants per km².
