Koenigsegg - Definition and Overview

Koenigsegg is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance cars. The company was founded by Christian von Koenigsegg and its first car appeared at the 2000 Paris Motor Show.

At present their CCR holds the record for the fastest road car in the world: it has reached 240mph. The CCR is produced in Sweden.

The company has had two factories, with the first one burned down to the ground. The current factory is situated near an old air force airfield in the town of Ängelholm, which lies in the south western most part of Sweden.
