The Kornati archipelago is one of the Croatian national parks located in central Dalmatia, south of Zadar.
It consists of 101 islands and has total area of 51 km². Locally this area
of Dalmatia is called Donji Kornati.
Kornat, the biggest of the islands, comprises two-thirds of the park area.
Although the island is 25 km long, it is not wider than about 2,5 km.
