Kornati - Definition

Kornati Islands

The Kornati archipelago is one of the Croatian national parks located in central Dalmatia, south of Zadar.

It consists of 101 islands and has total area of 51 km². Locally this area of Dalmatia is called Donji Kornati. Kornat, the biggest of the islands, comprises two-thirds of the park area. Although the island is 25 km long, it is not wider than about 2,5 km.
