Kure (呉市; -shi) is a city located in Hiroshima, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 203,252 and the density of 1,311.05 persons per km². The total area is 155.03 km².

The city was founded on October 1, 1902. Up until the end of the Second World War, it served as a military and naval center.
