Kutno is a town in central Poland with 51,000 inhabitants (1995). Situated in the Lodz Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Plock Voivodship (1975-1998). During the Polish Defence War of 1939 in and around the town the Polish armies under general Tadeusz Kutrzeba conducted an offensive that was later named the Battle of Bzura. Education
