|
|
Lakeview Cemetery is located on the East side of the city of Cleveland, Ohio, along the East Cleveland, Ohio and Cleveland Heights, Ohio borders. The cemetery is known for its beauty and its grave sites, representing a who's who of American History. The cemetery is so named because its partially located in the "heights" of the greater Cleveland area thus making it possible for a view of Lake Erie to its north.
In addition, the Cemetery is home to the James A. Garfield Monument; President and Mrs. Garfield are buried in the lower level crypt.
