Land of Plenty is a movie by Wim Wenders, who tells a story about the divided America: The rich and the poor.

It is also a story about the paranoid Vietnam veteran Paul, who drives around filming and spying on potential Arab looking people - and his niece Lana, who works in the slums of Los Angeles after a trip to Palestine.

Lana has a more diversified view than most Americans because of her first hand knowledge of the Middle East and Africa and cannot see the difference between the LA slum and the Third World.

But Paul is shown from a sympathetic angle too, and that makes the dialog between the two possible.

Technically is was shot using digital equipment and hand held camera, so the production time was cut to a minimal.

It has not found an American distributor yet.
