Lane College is a four-year, accredited historically black college located in Jackson, Tennessee, just east of the downtown area. It is primarily a liberal arts institution associated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Athletic teams nicknamed the "Bulldogs" are sponsored and compete in Division III of the NCAA.
