Languages of Mali - Definition and Overview

The official language of Mali is French, but Bambara is the most used language (by about 80% of the population). Other languages and language groups include Fulfulde (or Wolof, Peul), Senufo, Soninké, Tamasheq, Songhay, Dogon.

French is a part of the standard school curriculum, and is widely understood.
