Laodice - Definition and Overview

In Greek mythology, the name Laodice referred to three different people.

  1. An alternate name for Electra
  2. Mother of Niobe
  3. Fairest daughter of Priam of Troy and Hecuba, wife of Helicaon, the son of Antenor; she is elsewhere called the wife of Telephus, king of Mysia and son of Heracles 1.

Laodice is also the name of the wife of Ariarathes VI, king of Cappadocia.
