Larry Grayson (1923 - 1995) was a British high camp comedian and gameshow emcee of the late 1970s, one of the first television comedians to suggest a deliberately gay persona. Not otherwise remarkable and didn't achieve stardom until he was in his fifties as host of The Generation Game. He also made a memorable "cameo" appearance in the Midlands based soap opera, Crossroads, as the
chauffeur at the wedding of Meg Richardson (played by his close friend, Noele Gordon)
