Critical review

  • TV Guide said "NBC needs a new pair of shoes. Las Vegas is going to roll sevens." While the show was "[s]lick and funky", they asked, "Is gambling really that interesting?"

Trivia

In one episode, an aerial shot of the fictional Montecito showed that it is situated at the corner of Giles St. and Reno Ave., half a mile from the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino. Many of Mandalay Bay's interiors and exteriors (including its wave pool) have been used as Montecito exteriors, although (according to the Internet Movie Database) interiors are now filmed in a California set that is a replica of the Mandalay Bay.
