Laser Doppler Velocimetry is a technique to measure flows using the Doppler effect. Two lasers, with the same wave length, but put in different directions, are used. eFunda (http://www.efunda.com/designstandards/sensors/laser_doppler/laser_doppler_intro.cfm) has a good introduction to the setup used. |
