Laurent de Brunhoff is a French author and illustrator (1925). He was born on 30th August in Paris. After studying Fine Arts at Academie de La Grande Chaumiere, he took the pen of his father, Jean de Brunhoff, Babar's author. After the war, he began not only illustrating and writing more stories about Babar, but also making some posters, disk sleeves and characters for cartoon films. Since 1985, he lives in United States.
